Positive points and comments
- Mapshare ability that allows you to quickly correct any outdated information and share it with other TomTom users.
- Text to speech quality is very good.
- Display options that are configurable
- Using the unit is easy and it is dependable
- Making and receiving phone calls using the TomTom 720 bluetooth works well
- Playing music through its radio transmitter also works well (music is muted when a direction announcement is made)
- Routing and maps are accurate and up to date in general
Not so good
- TomTom 720 suffers from too many layers of menus for routine items. The menu items are somewhat confusing as well.
- Compatibility issue with the Mac since it does not recognize the Tom Tom USB, so you can’t charge the device or install software.
- Routing calculations seems to be out for some people (estimated time to arrival, for example)
Overall opinion
Positive, recommended
